Recycled Polyester

GRS (Global Recycled Standard) recycled polyester is made from post-consumer waste PET plastic that has been diverted from landfill.

Recycled polyester is takes significantly less energy to produce than virgin polyester, and it ensures no new fossil fuels are extracted to make it.

Our Goal

We’re working on removing virgin sourced synthetic fibres from our collections by the end of 2020, and using recycled polyester is one of the ways we aim to achieve this. The pros and cons of recycled polyester are still being debated, so we’re keeping ourselves informed on the latest research. This is why we still recommend that all recycled polyester garments are washed in a microplastic catcher such as a Guppy bag.
