Suedwolle Group is a supplier we began working with in early 2019. They supply merino woollen yarn for our knitwear pieces. This yarn is spun in Tangshi Town, China. Suedwolle are pioneers in the field of corporate responsibility. In 2018 they released an Ecobalance brief, which encompasses seven priorities that should be a priority for any CEO right now to become more environmentally and socially aware in all business practices. Their yarn is certified by the Responsible Wool Standard, GOTS and OEKO-TEX 100. Economic growth in Tangshi city, China, where the spinning mills are based, has placed significant pressure on housing and accommodation. In 2012, Suedwolle Group worked with the government to supply affordable and quality accommodation for staff and their families. This resulted in the addition of a large 50-room dormitory to the 22-room dormitory that had been previously established. Suedwolle Group offers a subsidised house purchase option for staff in China, in an arrangement that rewards loyalty to the company, and workplace performance. They also run a programme to support employees who have children with special needs.
