We work with the Organic Textile Company in the United Kingdom to source cotton jersey from GOTS certified mills in Turkey.

Grown without GMO (genetically modified) seeds, synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides, organic cotton farming promotes clean air, water and soil, protecting the farmer and wearer from exposure to harmful chemicals.

Choosing organic cotton allows farmers to grow food and keep animals instead of investing in costly chemicals and fertilizers. They receive more for their crop, the input costs are lower and the fabrics are pesticide free. (x)

The silk mills we work with believe in enhancing the lives of their workers and surrounding community by reinvesting profits into local community initiatives.

Silk-making is a role traditionally led by women in Jiangsu, one of China's main silk-producing regions. This includes planting mulberry, raising silkworms, unreeling silk, making thread and weaving fabric (via UNESCO).

Our silk is grown without pesticides or fertilisers that are commonly used on mulberry plants. They are also dyed with low impact, non-AZO dye. AZO are nitrogen based dyes with suspected carcinogenic and allergenic properties (x).

Our organic cotton shirting is sourced from SÖKTAŞ, a Turkish mill that has been working with the garment industry for nearly 50 years. SÖKTAŞ ensure that all fabrics are independently tested by OEKO-TEX, a certification system that follows fabric from raw material to end product, to ensure no use of harmful chemicals throughout the production process.

As well as stringent testing, our fabric suppliers believe in investing in the lives of their workers. They regularly sponsor education, conservation and restoration projects within their community. (x)

Our organic wool comes from New Zealand and Australian sheep farms that are free from herbicides and pesticides. The wool is woven in Verrone, Italy by Drago mills, a family run business that has been supplying high quality wool fabrics for 45 years.

With their care and craftsmanship, Drago have developed an organic wool that is crease, stain and water repellent.

The only garment that is not fully finished from our home in New Zealand is our Italian knitwear. Our knits are fully crafted from yarn to finished product by our partner manufacturer in Como, Italy. The yarn we select is sourced from New Zealand and Australian merino farms, blended to suit the needs of the wearer, and incredibly soft to touch.

Our custom printed silks are designed in house and made to order, minimising the amount of excess fabric produced.

We work with suppliers that source pesticide free fabrics that are processed in water and dyed with low impact, non-AZO dye. AZO are nitrogen based dyes with suspected carcinogenic and allergenic properties (x).

Our suppliers visit their silk mills regularly to ensure they meet health and safety standards and pay all workers a living wage.
